How to fix iPhone "Last line no longer available" error?
Does your iPhone keep popping up a message "Last Line No Longer Available" when you open the caller app? Read on to find the resolution to the issue so that you don’t face the trouble in future.
Problem Statement: When the user tries to place a call from the default line through the caller app’s recent logs, an error message appears on the screen saying, “Last Line No Longer Available. Do you want to call using your remaining line?”
The error prevents users from dialing a contact through their preferred SIM card. Hence, you are forced to use the remaining line.
The error has existed on iPhone models since the launch of iOS 12 version. The affected iPhone models are: iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone XR.
How to fix/solve it?
- Clear call logs: Go to Recents > Edit > Clear. In the popup that appears, select the ‘Clear All Recents’ option.
- Reset your network settings: Navigate settings on your iPhone as Settings > General > Transfer Or Reset iPhone > Reset and select the ‘Reset Network Settings’ from the popup menu.
- Force Restart your iPhone: To restart your iPhone, hold the Power button (or Volume up and Power buttons) until you see Power off slider, slide over, and wait for your iPhone to power off. When the device has completely switched off, press and hold the Power button again until you see the Apple logo appear to restart the device.
Just do the above steps and watch the issue disappear in a poof! You can thank us later :)
