The whole back is one panel on the Air, plateau included. Where it cracked changes what we check before quoting.
Thin phone. Slower hands.
Before we open it: We test wireless charging, the flash and both cameras, and note any dents in the titanium frame.
Off with the old panel: Two screws sit either side of the charging port. Gentle heat softens the adhesive round the edge, and the panel comes off, plateau and all.
Your own hardware, moved across: The charging coil and flash sit on one flex bonded to the broken panel. We peel them off and install them onto the new panel.
On with the new: Every trace of the old adhesive strip is scraped off the frame first, or the fresh strip won't sit flat. Then the panel goes on and the phone stays clamped until the adhesive has set. We check the alignment round all four edges before it leaves the clamp.
Every phone goes through our full quality check before it's marked ready, and this one also gets charged wirelessly, tested with a MagSafe accessory on the back, and the flash fired a few times.
It’s a little bit like visiting a doctor. Don’t you like it when your doctor has an understanding ear, and explains the ailment to you?
All things considered, the quality of service is only as good as the expertise of the repairman. Workmanship matters!
All Apple devices, all repairs, we are your one-stop shop. We’re probably the only one in town who do L4 chip-level repair on Logic boards, arguably :)
We inspect thoroughly and share a detailed diagnosis report. You'll know exactly what's wrong before you commit to anything.
Clear pricing before any work begins. Parts, labor, and timeline upfront. You decide whether to go ahead.
1 to 3 days for common repairs. Chip-level logic board work may take up to 2 weeks. We keep you posted throughout.
90-day minimum on every repair. 3 months on chip-level logic board work. 1 year on display replacements.
We don't publish a fixed price, because it moves with the parts market and a figure we post today could be wrong next month. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll share the current price straight away. Cracked the front in the same drop? Mention it and we'll price the screen replacement alongside.
No. On the Air the plateau is part of the same rear panel, so it comes off and goes back as one piece. It does change what we check. Face ID, both cameras and a speaker sit under the plateau, so all of those get tested before and after.
Almost always just the glass. Apple might tell you the whole housing has to go, but it doesn't. The cracked panel comes off and a new one goes on. The one exception is the frame: small dents we can usually work back, but a frame bent badly out of shape needs a full body replacement, and there's no way round that.
Yes. We keep your phone's original wireless charging and camera flash rather than swapping them out, so both carry on working exactly as before. We test charging, MagSafe alignment and the flash as part of the final check before the phone goes back to you.
We don't provide warranty with the back glass, and the reason is simple: it's a cosmetic, non-functional part with no electronic or even mechanical components inside to fail or cover. The functional bits we touch along the way, your wireless charging and flash, stay original and get tested before handover, so those aren't a worry either.
We fit a fresh sealing gasket to help restore water resistance. Even so, there's no reliable way to test the seal afterwards, and even Apple won't commit to water resistance once a phone has been opened. If the phone is already dented or bent, resistance is reduced and can't be fully restored. We'd recommend keeping it away from liquid, and we can't take liability for liquid damage after the repair.
